		<description>Hi
I am new to this topic and i need to develop my own module for openerp. How long does it take for me as beginner to create my own module. I am familiar with some programming languages like PHP, C#... also css HTML, OOP.

Can you recommend some good books, or sources that you found on the way.

What I need to do is:

Have some input fields, dropdown menues, radiobuttons... for data gathering. So the customer chooses all that. And his information gets stored into the database. I also need to read that information out to show it as a chart, or simply as percent... hope you know how I mean it. The user also should be able to edit the information... and so on.

Thanks</description>

		<description>Can you tell me please, the path and the name of file in which I have to embed the code below?
Thanks

// put this in the module function.

function myModuleReInstall() {

if (!$params-&gt;get(‘is_installed’)) {

$database =&amp; JFactory::getDBO();

$query = “CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `example` ( `id` INT, `data` VARCHAR(100) );”;

$database-&gt;setQuery($query);

$result = $database-&gt;query();

$params-&gt;set(‘is_installed’, 1);
